KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
2 years’ experience in a hotel House Person or Housekeeping role
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
Organizational skills and attention to detail
A can-do attitude and a hands-on approach
Personable demeanor and ability to deliver memory-making hospitable service
Excellent time management and communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively
Professional demeanor, polished appearance with the ability to exceed guest's expectations
Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong work ethic and client-focused approach
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be passionate and dedicated to success
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleans public spaces, hallways and restrooms
Moves furniture
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floor
Dusts and polishes
Collects soiled linen for laundering and resets rooms for room attendants
Receives and inventory linen
Maintains housekeeping carts
Removes trash collected by room attendants
Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry
Deliver items to rooms on request
Perform duties of room attendant when necessary
Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry
Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures
Assist room attendants with placing bed boards, roll-ways beds, extra bed etc.
Report missing / found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors
Must be able to work independently and as a team player
Communicate any guest problems and complaints to Management
Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need
