KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
- 2 to 3 years experience in a Engineer role in a hotel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to communicate with coworkers and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
- Responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detail
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance experience are required
- Knowledge of regulations and safety standards
- Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and client-focused approach
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be passionate and dedicated to success
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in operating, repairing, and maintaining guest rooms, common areas, and central systems
- Ensure timely responses to maintenance work orders
- General maintenance of the hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and technological systems
- Follow preventive maintenance program for all building equipment, public areas, and guest rooms
- Maintain maintenance inventory control as it relates to equipment and supplies
- Conduct routine inspections and walk-throughs of all hotel rooms and public areas
- Follow the property Fire Safety program
- Assist with hotel compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
- Rectify any building, code, or fire violations promptly
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors and provide timely status updates as needed
- Facilitate the training and development of all associates to hotel standards
- Assist as necessary with special projects and renovation
