KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
2 to 3 years experience in a Engineer role in a hotel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to communicate with coworkers and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
Responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detail
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance experience are required
Knowledge of regulations and safety standards
Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong work ethic and client-focused approach
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be passionate and dedicated to success
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in operating, repairing, and maintaining guest rooms, common areas, and central systems
Ensure timely responses to maintenance work orders
General maintenance of the hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and technological systems
Follow preventive maintenance program for all building equipment, public areas, and guest rooms
Maintain maintenance inventory control as it relates to equipment and supplies
Conduct routine inspections and walk-throughs of all hotel rooms and public areas
Follow the property Fire Safety program
Assist with hotel compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
Rectify any building, code, or fire violations promptly
Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors and provide timely status updates as needed
Facilitate the training and development of all associates to hotel standards
Assist as necessary with special projects and renovation
